Service is an essential component to our formation as individuals and as a community. Join us in this transformative time.

Since we first started going to CASA de Maryland in October 2010, our relationship with CASA as grown and blossomed! Over the holidays, we celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with the workers. Join us on Saturday mornings at this employment and community center that works mostly with people who have immigrated to this country. Here’s what we’re up to:

♦Intercambios
English-Spanish conversations in which participants teach one another each other’s native language.

♦Meals
We prepare food and bring it to CASA to have lunch with the workers.

Congregations United For Compassion and Empowerment (CUCE)
CUCE is made up faith communities in the Route 1 area of Prince George’s county. These faith communities pool their resources to help with financial needs.  The office is open three days a week from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., by appointment only.  CUCE helps people avoid evictions, continue to have utilities, obtain medications as well as other necessities for a quality life.  To make an appointment call Rev.
